Expanding team: September 2009
VEQTER this month welcomes two new faces to the team. Mr Devkumar Goudar and Mr David “Ashley” Bowman both join us as Project Engineers delivering our measurement services. Dev joins us from the University of Bristol having just finished the experimental part of his PhD, only the Thesis to go! Ash also joins us from the University of Bristol having just finished his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering including a final year project investigating the Ring Core technique. They promise to be great additions to our team and will greatly help in our continuing success.
Expanding team: January 2010
Mrs Debbie-Marie Duffety joins us this month as our Business Administrator. Having worked for many years as an Executive Assistant with HP Labs, Debbie will bring a wealth of experience and efficiency to our expanding team.
Research & Development:
In our drive to remain at the cutting edge of residual stress measurement technologies VEQTER has entered into a “Knowledge Transfer Scheme” with the University of Bristol. Under this scheme Dr. Sayeed Hossain has been seconded to our team for 1 year to investigate the effects of plasticity on the DHD residual stress measurement technique.
Student placement: March 2010
We welcome Mr Karim Serasli to the UK and VEQTER this month as our fifth French undergraduate on an industrial placement. Karim will be with us for five months carrying department as part of his degrees

EPRI MRP June 2010
VEQTER has been invited to organise and run a one day seminar on the Measurement and Modelling of residual stresses at the beginning of EPRI’s conference.
This years workshop will take place on 2th-30th September 2011.
